This years Cotswold Way Relay has just been confirmed as Saturday 29th June 2019. Full details here
This year the lovely hosts Bath AC are very organised and we need to confirm our interest in the next few weeks There is no guarantee of a place - for now we need to know who is available and we will then choose our intrepid , speedy and brave teams. We hope to enter 3 teams. Jan will try and put you in a leg you prefer but please be patient as it’s complicated and you may not get first choice! Bribery sometimes helps.
There is a chance to get together at the end of the day, share stories of your pain, have a beer and get to know your club mates.
There will be a meeting at a later date to sort out plans and take your money. Be there or be square
Please let Jan Edwards know as soon as you can if you are interested - there will be a £10 fee per a member but this is heavily subsidised by the club. It’s one of the highlights of the Wye Valley Year - join us if you can
The Cotswold Way Relay is now in its 27th year, operated as 10 back-to-back races, starting each stage with a mass start at the expected arrival time of the 1st runner from the previous stage.
Running from Chipping Campden in the early morning, through to the arrival at Bath Abbey in the early evening, using the waymarked route of the Cotswold Way as our route, the relay is over 90% off-road, taking in many hills, woodlands, fields and tracks, all offering spectacular views of the countryside around (if ever a runner looked up from the path to take it in!).
