Be Safe - Be Seen!

From now till the nights begin to get lighter please make sure you are wearing some Hi Visibility gear if you plan to run with the club on Monday's or Wednesday's. Some clubs impose a " no hi vis - no run" rule - we don't plan to do that as we know everyone will respond - so please dig out the hi vis- if you don't have any you can buy online very cheap or pop in to Club Sports in town.

Super Ten - final results!

The results are in - thank you to Steven Flowers for setting up the new database and doing all the hard work crunching the numbers.

Dates: Oct 18th (Builth) & Nov 8th (Croft) & Nov 29th (Ufton Court) & Jan 10th (Monkhall) and Feb 7th (Presteigne). The first 2 are confirmed; the other 3 to be confirmed.

Race Secretary

As you are probably aware I am stepping down from the club at the AGM in November as it is difficult to describe how it difficult it is to continue in my current non running capacity. One day using Arnie's words 'I will be back'.

Is anyone interested in taking on the role of race secretary for Wye Valley Runners? The role involves applying for race licences, and securing approval from Police, Highways and Hereford SAG to hold events. I will be more than happy to help and train whoever would like to do the job . I have set-up templates for most of the races which I am more than happy to share.

Many Thanks,

Mike Shaw

Super 10 after 11 races - the race is on!

So now it begins to count. You need to run 10 of the 16 races to be within a chance of qualifying to be the Super 10 men's or women's champion. So far Dancas lead looks strong with almost a 100 point lead - but can she maintain the momentum. Paul continues to ignore everyone's advice and runs on through injury - but he's still at the top. Well done both. However, Steven is only 34 points adrift of Paul and could still catch him if he maintains form. Laura has work to do if she is to close the gap - but it's still possible! All to play for still.

Next up Abbeydore XC 24th June. Results here in our temporary dropbox link. The dropbox link is a temporary thing till we sort out the website glitch!

Danca's 8 race total sees her lead strengthening. Congrats to them both. Some impressive mid table battles - next up Wednesday evening's 5k !
